This is a review received by email for pursemall.ru from a blog reader named Jill (pseudonym used to protect Jill’s real identity).
When I first received the review I visited pursemall.ru (which I have heard mentioned a couple of times by several blog readers in the comments), and was struck by the poor site design. That would be a red flag to myself personally while shopping, however it is easy for first time buyers to be so enamored with the idea of saving money on designer goods, that they would overlook this and shop on the site anyways. The price point of the bag is also another red flag that would have triggered concern from me because you usually can’t get good replicas at that low of a price point in my experience. Here’s Jill’s experience in her own words:
I recently discovered http://www.pursemall.ru and ordered the LV damier ebene Berkeley model. I emailed with the store (?) quite a bit before placing an order since it was by WU. After paying, they continued to chat with me, got me a DHL tracking number 2 days later & the bag was in my hands on a week. I was thrilled. The bag looks great! Then i realize the handles are removable and they are in the bottom of the box for me to put on myself.
However, the straps didn’t for in the buckles! Not only were they too wide for the buckles, they were flat handles (like for the Hampstead) instead of rolled handles of the Berkeley. The buckles were 3/4″ wide but the straps were an inch wide. So even if i was willing to overlook the wrong style strap (which I wouldn’t have been), I couldn’t use them anyway. Basically, the Berkeley i have is a clutch with empty buckles. Frustrating bc i was anxious to carry the bag, but hoped the seller would continue to be helpful.
I sent pics & explained the problem and they insisted they were the correct straps. I insisted they were not. Back & forth…then i was told I could “pick other straps” (WTH?), then that the bag isn’t manufactured anymore. My response was why is an incorrect bag that is not even manufactured anymore even listed for sale on your website?! I have asked nicely for them to bear the cost of return shipping and substituting the bag for another, or a refund, and that they should take it up with the factory. Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, it has been radio silence on their end.
I was so pleased when i found them & had good communication, but at this point, I’m out $200 for a bag that will literally go in the trash. I don’t know if “scam” is the right word, but definitely not recommended.

The product arrived not as described and when I sent proof, the company said that they would send me another bag to make up for it. I have reached out to them more than 10 times since then, and they have simply not responded to me at all. Horrible service.
I placed an order with myluxurybag.ru. I know I should have known better, but some replica shops are very good. This one is not. After making the transfer, I have heard nothing from them, dead silence. I went through customer service on TransferWise to hopefully get them barred from using it. In the above story, I hate that she had such a bad experience, but at least she has something to show for it. Imagine sending nearly $300 online (I know it’s a risk, but up until this point, I have had good experiences), then not only be ignored altogether, but have no hope of receiving anything. Even if they sent the wrong strap, I could at least try to salvage what they sent.
